Ed Sheeran is risking the wrath of his label bosses by ditching pop for his next album. The 'Shape of You' singer has cemented his status as a pop superstar with his hit albums '+', 'x', and 2017's '÷', but he is planning to break away from the style of music fans have fallen in love with to enjoy a little experimentation.
The 26-year-old English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is well known across the globe. After appearing on Taylor Swift's album Red in 2012, his career was on the go! Overnight he became popular in all parts of the world.
In 2010, Sheeran bought a plane ticket to Los Angeles and performed at The Foxxhole, when Jamie Foxx himself spotted him, and offered Ed an opportunity of a life time - he could use Jamie's studio and sleep in his apartment.
Soon after, in 2011, Ed Sheeran released his first studio album strangely named + (plus). Second album x (or multiply) appeared in 2014 and on March 3, 2017, young singer gave us his third studio release ÷ (divide).
Sheeran's every album is a delight for music lovers world-wide, but it seems that this Irish superstar will go a different way, for his next studio effort.
Sheeran announced that he will experiment with his new music, on the upcoming album, and that just might anger the fans. Also, he is trying out his acting skills these days, appearing in popular TV series Game of Thrones (2017) and The Simpsons (2018).
