'Guardians' cast is fighting for James Gunn to stay on-board

The cast of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' have signed an open letter supporting the film franchise's director, James Gunn, after he was fired following a Twitter scandal.

The main cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie franchise wrote a letter to Disney's executives saying that they fully support James Gunn as the leading man of the series, and that they will do whatever is in their power to bring him back to the studio.

Chris Pratt posted their joined official letter on his Instagram page, and he captioned it with: Although I don't support James Gunn's inappropriate jokes from years ago, he is a good man. I'd personally love to see him reinstated as director of Volume 3. If you please, read the following statement - signed by our entire cast.

The letter was signed by Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff and Michael Rooker.
