'Sharp Objects' won't have s2 because it is 'too dark'

Amy Adams' dark new TV drama 'Sharp Objects' won't be back for a second season on HBO, because the actress has already had enough of her broken character.

Sharp Objects (2018) is about a reporter who confronts the psychological demons from her past, when she returns to her hometown to cover a violent murder.

Besides Amy Adams, the series is full of famous names such as Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Sydney Sweeney, Eliza Scanlen...

Sharp Objects (2018) is based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, and it was created for the TV by Marti Noxon.

Noxon was a producer on a bunch of superpopular television titles such as: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Mad Men, Glee...

The series' director is Jean-Marc Vallee - an Oscar-nominated director from Canada, responsible for hit movies such as Dallas Buyers Club (2013) and Wild (2014).

Sharp Objects (2018) will premiere on July 29, on HBO channel.
