Robert Downey Jr. gets backup in 'Doctor Dolittle'

Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Octavia Spencer will join Robert Downey, Jr in the latest 'Doctor Dolittle' revamp. The 'Iron Man' star revealed the cast list for his upcoming live action-animated movie 'The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle' via social media and announced the colourful new family movie will hit the big screen on 12 April, 2019.

Now, in the era of remakes, it is time for The Story of Doctor Dolittle to be told again, this time with Robert Downey Jr. in the title role.

The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle (2019) will tell the well known story about a physician who discovers that he can talk to animals.

The Oscar-winning writer and director Stephen Gaghan wrote the script (alongside aspiring screenwriter Thomas Shepherd) and he will also direct the movie.

Besides Downey Jr. you will have a chance to enjoy acting and voice acting from many other celebs such as Marion Cotillard, John Cena, Tom Holland, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Sheen, Emma Thompson, Antonio Banderas and Selena Gomez!
