Actress Laurie Metcalf talks about 'Lady Bird' (2017) and parenting

Actress Laurie Metcalf has been receiving rave reviews, including a Golden Globe nomination, for her performance in the new movie 'Lady Bird', in which she plays a woman struggling to mend her strained relationship with her teenaged daughter. In real life, Laurie is a mother herself, and in this exclusive interview, she explains that modern parenting is tough for her.

The 62-year-old American Actress Laurie Metcalf started her rich career appearing in A Wedding (1978).

Now, she is a well known actress with almost 80 TV and movie titles in her resume. She is known for films such as Uncle Buck (1989), Scream 2 (1997), and, of course as Jackie Harris from Roseanne (1988-1997) hit TV series.

Metcalf was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards. Two times for her Roseanne  work, and this year she has been nominated for the ever so popular movie Lady Bird (2017).

Lady Bird (2017) is comedy about the adventures of a young woman living in Northern California.

Leading roles in this hit film are Saoirse Ronan, Odeya Rush, Kathryn Newton and Laurie Metcalf.

This is the second directorial effort of young actress/director/writer Greta Gerwig.
