Comedic mastermind Seth MacFarlane is best known as the person behind 'Family Guy', but he's also made some films. The 2014 satirical western 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' was the first time he wrote and directed the movie as well as playing the lead. Well, technically he also did so with 'Ted', but this is the first time he can actually be seen in person, rather than as the voice of a CGI bear.
A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) was directed and co-written by Seth MacFarlane.
Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin also worked on the screenplay, and MacFarlane starred in the movie.
The film was a flop, despite the excellent cast: Charlize THeron, Amanda Seyfried, Liam Neeson, Giovanni Ribisi, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman...
MacFarlane tried to mix classic western and comedy in A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014), but that blend turned out to be only for the small amount of moviegoers.
