De Niro has yet to be paid $940,706 for the 2012 movie Silver Linings Playbook (2012), which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
The 74-year-old made the filing in The Weinstein Company's bankruptcy case, joining a long list of other Hollywood stars who are keen to recoup their losses as the firm's assets are sold to Lantern Capital bosses following the fallout from Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct scandal.
Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts each claim to be owed $168,611 for their participation in August: Osage County (2013), while George Clooney is still waiting to collect $250,000 for producing the movie.
Brad Pitt is also allegedly owed $278,865 for 2012 thriller Killing Them Softly (2012).
