Lupita Nyong'o to portray comedian Trever Noah's mother in new film

Lupita Nyong'o has signed on to play comedian Trever Noah's mother in a big screen adaptation of his autobiography, 'Born a crime: Stories from a South African childhood'.

The famous writer, producer and actor of The Daily Show (2014-2018) Trevor Noah came a long way, from the racially segregated Johannesburg (South Africa) to being one of the most beloved American TV hosts.

Noah wrote a book about his childhood in South Africa, called Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood. Noah's book was published in 2016, and it became an instant New York Times bestseller.

Millions of copies of this amazing story are sold world-wide, and now it is time for a movie adaptation to introduce Trevor's story to the big screen viewers.

We don't know much about it, as it is still in early production stage, but we know now for a fact that Lupita Nyong'o will star in this memoir-based movie.
