Guillermo Del Toro just loves his (un)lucky 13 Academy Awards nominations

Thirteen has become filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro's lucky number after his latest movie 'The Shape of Water' picked up 13 Oscar nominations.

Yesterday we finally found out which movies are going to race for the biggest film award on the planet - the Academy Award.

Among many good movies, one film did better than others - The Shape of Water (2017), written and directed by Guillermo del Toro.

Del Toro's pet-project is nominated for 13 Oscar statuettes!

It will compete for the Best Directing, Best Movie, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Music, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, and Best Production Design.

Guillermo del Toro already has won the Best Director Golden Globes Award, and Alexandre Desplat has won Best Original Score Golden Globes Award.

The Shape of Water (2017) tells the story of a lonely janitor that forms a unique relationship with an amphibious creature that is being held in captivity.
